Support for Parents

Unsure how best to Support Your Child?

When we first become parents, many of us expect a story that is full of love and connection as we raise happy and healthy kids.

Sometimes, life doesn’t go as planned. When our children struggle with behavior challenges, it can leave us feeling exhausted, hopeless, isolated or even guilty about how we respond.

At Head & Heart Family Therapy, we believe not only in offering support and counseling for children and teens, but also for their parents. Our expert Parent Support services use a proven approach that has helped countless families in Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Claremont, and throughout the Inland Empire and Southern California foster more calm, connection, and harmony with their children. Let us help you strengthen your family connection.

There is good news - you don’t have to face this journey alone.

We team up with parents and provide support so you can be their for your child.

HOw We help (More info on Services)

Example #1

As the saying goes, "It takes two to tango," and this is especially true in the relationship between parents and children. That's why we offer comprehensive support, including one-on-one sessions with your child, joint sessions for both of you, and parent-only consultation.

Example #2

Play Therapy is more than just play - it's a powerful form of communication. Through Play-Based Treatment, I help children communicate what's troubling them when they lack the words to express their emotions. This approach allows children to process and overcome challenges, promoting emotional healing and growth.

Example #3

Our child-centered, adaptive, and affirming play therapy approach is designed for children of all abilities. These sessions create opportunities for meaningful play that enhances connection and relationship development. We also teach parents how to implement these strategies at home.

Child-Centered
Play Counseling

$150/Session | 50-minutes

A 45-minute session where a certified therapist works one-on-one with your child (age 3-12). Give your child the opportunity to deal with their fears and resolve psychosocial difficulties in a calm, safe, and nurturing environment.

Every 5 weeks, there is a FREE parent meeting to review your child’s progress and answer your questions.

Family Therapy Program

$175/Week | 50 minutes

Family (Filial) Therapy is a specialized form of family therapy that helps strengthen the relationship between parents and their child through play. Rather than the therapist being the primary person working with the child, parents are taught specific therapeutic play skills that they can use during special one-on-one play sessions at home. The therapist acts as a “coach” to guide parents to success.

Group/sibling
Play Sessions

$175/Session | 50-minutes

Play therapy sessions specifically designed to meet the needs of siblings who need help in working on their relationship and/or healing through life's difficulties together. Group play is offered to families who would like to team up with another family to allow both their children to access this important therapy at a reduced cost

INSURANCE

I accept Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) and AETNA. If you have a PPO plan, I can offer you a Superbill to be partially reimbursed by your insurance for therapy sessions.
