You’re exhausted. Parenting wasn’t supposed to feel like surviving every day.

If you’re constantly walking on eggshells…

If bedtime is a battle…

If your child seems angry, anxious, withdrawn, or out of control…

There is hope.

Healing doesn’t start with blame. It starts with understanding.

At Head & Heart Family Therapy, we have a team of trained Child and Family Therapists ready to support you. We combine evidence-based therapy with compassionate support to help families reconnect and thrive. We help parents understand what’s underneath challenging behaviors so families can replace conflict with connection and confidence.

If you’re a parent experiencing behavior challenges with your child and don’t know what to do next, we can help you bring peace and joy back into your home.  Learn more here >

Hi, welcome to Head & Heart Family Therapy

Meet Our Team

therapist Jenna Hardy-Surina

Jenna Hardy-Surina, LMFT

Owner + Lead Therapist

After college, I entered into the workforce in multiple types of physical health settings. From hospitals to healthcare facilities, I ended up settling my roots at The Perfect Step, an exercise-based paralysis recovery center.

I had the honor of helping people in rehab with all types of neurological injuries and diagnoses. Through a decade of experience in this area, I witnessed the major gap in holistic care for people living with a diagnosis, injury, or disability, especially when it came to addressing the mental and emotional aspects of these diagnoses. Wanting to do more, I returned to school and got my Master's in Clinical Psychology to support people and their families going through these life-changing circumstances.

Another interest of mine is supporting children’s mental health. I started this journey as a therapist several years ago with children working within Head Start pre-schools across San Bernardino County. I am now trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy, a play therapy framework designed to address the mental health needs of all children of all abilities.

Outside of work, I have two children and my dog Stella. In my free time, I like to do anything that gets me outdoors. You can often find me at college baseball games, farmers markets, and going on long walks with my dog. I’m a huge LAFC fan, and I am always open to discussing anything related to soccer.

For me, the most rewarding part of providing counseling is when people discover their inner strength and power to heal themselves. Knowing that you have everything you need within you to heal is so empowering and I’ve seen it now change the lives of hundreds of individuals.  It would be an honor for me and my team to be your guide on your healing journey.
